Training Workshops and Seminars Through the Canadian Institute for Crisis Intervention Training (CICIT)

This course can be taught in both a one-day and two-day format. Day one (for agencies or staff who are NOT mandated to utilize physical intervention skills) focuses on the use of verbal, para-verbal and non-verbal skills to de-escalate crisis behaviour, as well as personal safety techniques. Day two (for agencies or staff whose mandate includes the use of physical intervention skills) includes training in the use of non-abusive holds and escort techniques.
